Why does my peptide vial appear to be empty?

When peptides are supplied without fillers or excipients, the total mass is extremely small and may only be visible as a faint film or light residue on the interior surface of the vial. Non-lyophilized products, in particular, can appear as a light dusting rather than a visible solid.
Why is it difficult to withdraw product from the vial?
Lyophilized products are vacuum-sealed to preserve stability and quality. To equalize pressure and access the contents, it may be necessary to inject at least two full 1 mL syringes of air into the vial. Vacuum strength can vary between vials; some seals may feel more pronounced than others. This variation is normal and does not affect product integrity.
